Some guests came to Long Road Racing last week to check out the shop and the preparation process that the new 2016 Mazda MX-5 Cup cars are undergoing. All of the guests are current Mazda MX-5 racers who have already bought one of the new cars.

The Mazdas arrive as stock cars at Long Road Racing. They are disassembled before being sent to fabrication for the roll cage and other modifications. Following that, it’s time for paint and reassembly. As our guests got to check out each step of the process, they were excited to see the car’s underpinnings and the assembly-line process that the cars go through. They were pleased with the attention to detail and the quality of the build. And, of course, the finished product looks great so everyone is excited about receiving their car for the 2016 season!

Take a look at some of our behind-the-scenes photos of what the process looks like!
