It’s Petit LeMans week, which is always a bittersweet time of the year for me – it’s a very exciting event, but it’s also the end of the season for the IMSA Continental Tire Series. Britt Casey, Jr. and I got the week started with a new team partner that’s onboard with us this weekend, Audi Atlanta. We participated in a dealer event with them on Tuesday evening. So many of their customers turned out to meet drivers and to see some of the great racecars on display (including our No. 77 TRUMPF Inc. Audi RS3 LMS). It was a fun start to Petit LeMans!
On track before Hurricane Michael blew through Georgia! We opted out of Thursday morning practice since the track was still wet.
Now we’re into the on-track portion of the week here at Road Atlanta. Practice and qualifying are today as we get the car dialed in. We’re leading the TCR class points coming into this round, so obviously our focus is to have a strong performance in the race. We currently have a five-point lead, and the championship is coming down to this final race of the season.
