I hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving! I certainly did, because I got to spend some quality time with family. The holiday gave me a chance to reflect on what a year it’s been, and I’m so thankful for the opportunities that came my way this season.
My year started off at Daytona in January, where I got to race at the front of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge field. I am also thankful for having the opportunity to race a variety of historic events this season, including the Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca and the Daytona Classic 24.
Now, I’m grateful that I can look forward to this weekend’s HSR Classic 12 Hours of Sebring, where we’ll be campaigning the same Mazda race cars that we raced at Daytona last month: the 767 Prototype and the RX-7 GTO. If you’re in the Central Florida area, be sure to stop by the track. It will be quite the sight (and sound!) as these great cars roar around the iconic Sebring circuit.
In addition to racing this year, I also got to help a number of my coaching clients not only achieve their personal goals, but also get lots of race wins throughout the season. The progress that these drivers made was truly remarkable, and of course it was memorable for me! It was exciting to be a part of their growth and experience, and to be able to contribute to their success.
2023 has been quite the year, and I’m excited to continue all the great momentum into next season.
