Last week was a busy one! After traveling back from Sebring, I was off to Virginia International Raceway for the first Ingram Experience event of the 2024 season. I have enjoyed working with the Ingrams for many years now, and this event was no different.

We had special guest (and my childhood hero) Jeff Gordon attending with his longtime crew chief Ray Evernham. Quite the dynamic duo! In fitting fashion, Jeff brought a few of his track cars, which includes a 992 Porsche Cup car amongst some other Porsches. The Ingrams also have an extensive Porsche collection, so it was really a perfect event for Jeff to participate in. Not only was it a thrill for me to meet Jeff, but also to host the drivers’ meeting with one of my heroes sitting in!

There were plenty of familiar faces, too, and it was great to see them for the first time this season. I always enjoy getting to work with these drivers, whether they’re in one of the Ingram Clubsport GT4s or their own cars.

Reg Williams, one of my longtime friends and clients, was able to achieve a new personal-best lap time at VIR, which was a huge accomplishment. It’s so rewarding when you get to help someone meet their big goals like that.

Reg Williams’s wife was able to get on track for the first time, which made it a home run event for the two of them!

Next up is the HSR Mitty at Road Atlanta. I’m excited to be joining Mazda with their Heritage Collection once again, and if you’ll be around the Atlanta area this weekend, be sure to stop by and check out the amazing beauty and sound these historic cars make!

If you’ll be in the Atlanta area this weekend, be sure to check out Mazda’s Heritage Collection. Cars of Japan will be the featured marques of the event.
