Earlier this week I got to do some driving! Yes, I usually drive when I’m working with clients, but this time, I was at a test for a race I’ll be participating in as a driver. I’m teaming up with Jim Jonsin for the two-hour Michelin Pilot Challenge race at Road Atlanta during the famed Petit LeMans weekend.

The goal of our Road Atlanta test was to put Jim’s Porsche Cayman through its paces in IMSA trim, which includes Michelin tires and a couple of other changes that are unique to the IMSA rules.

These tires and corresponding stickers will be getting swapped out for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge race at Road Atlanta!

It was a lot of fun fine-tuning and making adjustments to the car as we adapted it to its new IMSA specs, and it gave us a great benchmark as we prepare for the upcoming race on Oct. 11. It was also Jim’s first time back at Road Atlanta in several years, and there have been many updates to the facility since he had last been there.

Jim is a music producer, and racing is one of his favorite ways to promote new songs that he’s putting out. Fans at Petit LeMans will be able to see the car’s patriotic livery during the two-hour contest on Friday afternoon. This special look for the car is supporting the soon-to-be-released “Damn, I Love America.”

I’m excited to be racing again in IMSA competition, and I’m looking forward to seeing what Jim and I can do together again! Daytona sure went well last time!
