I just capped off a great weekend at Road Atlanta. I was once again working with Mark Sandridge as well as longtime client Reg Williams in his GT3 R. Both drivers are in different classes of the International GT Series, which was running as support for the second Trans-Am event of the season.

This was Reg’s first outing this season, while I had worked with Mark last month during the opening IGT Series round at Sebring. We had a beautiful weekend weather-wise, and it was exciting to watch both Reg and Mark make incredible gains throughout the event to come away with race wins that rewarded their hard work.

Big congratulations to Mark Sandridge for his Sprint race AND Enduro wins over the weekend!

With Reg coming off a long winter break, it was really satisfying to see his sim-racing practice over the winter pay off. Similarly, Mark made a lot of progress at Sebring last month, and that momentum carried into Road Atlanta.

Both Reg and Mark achieved new personal bests, which is always gratifying for a driver. It’s great to know you’re making personal strides beyond just measuring how you stack up to the competition.

For the final race on Sunday, I enjoyed the opportunity to co-drive with Reg in the one-hour enduro, which we won! Meanwhile, Mark won his class in the enduro, as well, driving the full hour by himself once again, like he did at Sebring.

It was great to share top step honors with Reg Williams in the Enduro. His GT3R is an incredible piece of machinery!!

As a coach, it was truly an amazing feeling to have both clients come away with the enduro wins! It really capped off a fantastic event, not to mention it was a ton of fun getting to race the GT3 R, as well.
