The upcoming week is a busy one, with the next SRO World Challenge event on tap at my home track of Virginia International Raceway. It’s exciting for several reasons, one being that there’s actually going to be a test event in the days leading up to the race. That means our Forbush Performance team will have some extra prep time and can try some new things that we haven’t had the chance to do yet.

Forbush Performance is a new team this season, so they are still gelling and understanding what makes the GT4 Supra tick. We’ve got an extensive test plan, including setup changes and other things we’ve wanted to try, but haven’t had the time and resources to do. We’ve planned a prioritized list of objectives, with different possibilities and paths depending on what happens as we progress.

The additional benefit to all of this is that the drivers will get plenty of seat time over the two extra days, so that way, they will be dialed in and ready to go for the race weekend.

Also joining the event this weekend—at the last minute—is the IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo series. Ashton Harrison is leading her division after a fantastic event at Circuit of the Americas just two short weeks ago. She’ll be looking to keep the momentum going into VIR, and I’m looking forward to reporting on both teams’ results next week.
