It’s nearing the end of the season, and with that come some exciting final events. For me, one of those is Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta. This has always been one of my favorite events of the season, and it’s a fairly local event for me, too. This year, I’m excited to not only be supporting the MX-5 Cup series there, but I’ll also be participating as a driver in the Michelin Pilot Series with Forbush Performance.

We recently made an announcement about the team’s plans for Petit LeMans as well as the upcoming 2022 season. You can read all about it here. I’m very excited about this opportunity, and although it will be a new role for me with the team, I’ve been working with them for a couple of seasons already as a coach and test driver. It’s a very natural fit!

Even before the announcement, we had a test at Road Atlanta. It was a very successful one as we got used to having the car in its IMSA trim. We had to adapt to changes like the Michelin tires as well as balance of performance requirements, like weight, ride height, and power output.

I’m very encouraged by the team’s and the car’s performance at the test, and I’m excited to give it a go next week! It will be a busy schedule, balancing my MX-5 Cup responsibilities with this driving opportunity, but I’m looking forward to it as well as the season to come!
