What a special week at the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta! I was so excited to be back on track with the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series! It was a busy week between driving with Forbush Performance and my work with the Idemitsu MX-5 Cup, but it was also such a rewarding week. Both aspects of my time at Road Atlanta were successful: Forbush Performance debuted in IMSA competition with a well-deserved top-ten result, and MX-5 Cup had two thrilling photo finishes to endcap an astounding season.

I was proud of the effort the Forbush Performance team put in to not only be prepared but also to execute, with a flawless pit stop and a good race strategy, which enabled us to come home with a top-ten finish in our first race with the series. We met our expectations and achieved our stretch goal of finishing inside the top ten. The team was happy that they got to load up the Supra in the same shape it started the race, just with a little red Georgia clay stuck to it!

With the shift so late this season to IMSA, the team is going to have a busy winter. I don’t even think we can use the term “off” season since the Roar Before the 24 at Daytona is only 60 days away! We’ll begin testing for the 2022 season in just three short weeks.

I’m really proud of the effort the team put in this week, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to race with them. It goes without saying that I’m excited about racing the full season with Forbush Performance in 2022!
