Longtime friend and client Rob Trollinger has recently been earning some enduro class wins, and it’s incredible to watch his progress. We had a fun conversation at VIR last week, in which I asked him what he attributed his recent success to.
Rob answered that he has learned to make sure he drives the car, instead of the car driving him. That has given him a lot of confidence, which has allowed him to take all of the skills he has learned and be more assertive with the car. His mindset gives him a mental advantage that helps translate to better driving and better results!
One moment that was really a game-changer for Rob’s outlook was when we went to the skid pad and worked on car control skills, sliding the car around to give him confidence and help him learn to manipulate the car even better.
For me, it’s really rewarding to see so much success coming from all of Rob’s effort and execution, and I’m excited for the success and race wins that are still to come!
My other clients had a banner week at VIR, as well, with personal-best performances in both results and lap times. Overall, it was a really outstanding week for me and my clients, and I’m proud of all their efforts.
