While many racing series have been wrapping up over the last several weeks, one series that still has a couple of races left in the season is WRL endurance racing. I’ve had great fun with TCB Racing throughout the season, supporting their quest to have success in this exciting and challenging series.

The last race with TCB, which was at Road Atlanta over the summer, was a new experience for my two teammates. Not only did they learn the track, but Garrett and Kyle picked up their first race win there!

This coming week is no different, as it will be Garrett and Kyle’s first time at the historic Sebring International Raceway. Hopefully, Sebring will yield similar success as Road Atlanta.

For Road Atlanta, we used a very strategic approach to learning all the nuances of the circuit, and we plan to use many of the same tactics at Sebring, although it does present a whole new set of challenges!

Road Atlanta, with all its elevation changes and combination corners, is very demanding, whereas Sebring is flat. However, Sebring is a much longer circuit with a bumpy nature and untraditionally wide layouts in certain aspects of the track.

I’m looking forward to getting on track with the team starting Thursday, before we have two eight-hour endurance races, with one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. The format provides quite a bit of track time for both Garrett and Kyle to develop over the days prior to the races, and it’s always a fun opportunity to first learn the track, then optimize the track, and, finally, to learn its race craft nuances.

With a full field of cars on tap for this weekend’s WRL event, it’s guaranteed to be exciting, and I look forward to sharing all the details next week!
