I just got back from a spectacular Road America event with Reg Williams, who was competing in the International GT series this past weekend. Reg swept the top step of the podium for the weekend, and we even got to co-drive for the 60-minute enduro, which we won, as well.
You can catch the highlights from the enduro here on YouTube!
It had been almost two years since the last time Reg had been to Road America, but with lots of sim practice ahead of time, he made quick work of getting back up to speed once we arrived at the track. Reviewing video and data from our last outing there was really helpful, too.
It was useful to have a full day of testing, and Reg used every session of it to continue fine-tuning his driving. He also learned some of the track’s latest nuances, since Road America has had some small changes since last year.

I didn’t drive during the test day, since we had previous reference data from years prior, so it was fun for me to jump into the car cold, mid-race during the enduro. Co-driving in that race also gave us further back-to-back data to compare for Reg’s next day on track.
This was my first trip back to Road America this season, and I enjoyed every moment of it, not just at the track but away from the circuit, too, since the surrounding area is so beautiful and fun to take in.
Since I’ve been getting such a great response to last week’s post of tips for getting around Mid-Ohio faster, I plan to tackle Road America next week! Are there any specific questions about that track that you have, that I can answer for you in next week’s post? Comment on this week’s Facebook post and let me know!
